On 5 December 1967, it was con- verted into a GmbH (limited company) with the Federal Repub- lic of Germany and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as- suming the role of shareholders. The Partners’ Meeting is chaired by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The Scientific and Technical Committee set up by the Supervisory Board prepares its resolutions on scientific and technical matters. The Scientific and Technical Council is a company body that advises the Partners’ Meeting, the Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors of Forschungszentrum Jülich on all sci- entific and important technical issues.
